Almost a Hero RPG Clicker Game Guide
Almost A Hero is probably one of the most addicting RPG clicker games you will find out there today. In this incremental RPG clicker game, you will meet 13 wannabe heroes, also known as the most useless idiots to walk this earth, who embark on a quest to be slightly less useless idiots. They say never give a loser an even chance. We say different. Your team of almost heroes is a bunch of deeply unique and deeply flawed individuals who have been chosen for greatness. Heroic, noble, enlightened. Just 3 of the many words they can’t spell. They will set off on an epic journey that will turn them from zeroes to almost heroes. Or dead people. More likely the latter. Join these zeroes on a quest to become (almost) heroes in an ancient land. Train them to learn battle skills, magical powers and which end of a sword is the business end. If you are into clicker games, RPG clicker game or incremental idle games, get ready to discover your next serious addiction with “Almost a Hero RPG Clicker Game”. In AaH you’ll find heroes with upgrades, quests, ancient artifacts and secrets to unlock. Oh, and there’s lots of clicking to do. Yup, that’s what clicker games are all about. Have you nearly got what it takes to become almost a hero? The game itself is divided into two sections. Adventure mode and Time Challenge. Adventure is your standard affair, kill waves of bad guys and move up the ladder of success. While the Time challenges get increasingly hard as you go up, I’m currently stuck on Challenge 4 which is clearing 40 waves in roughly 4 minutes. Adventure is where you’ll spend the bulk of your time and it’s here that the game shines the best in my opinion.
You start the game with nothing more than your mighty tapping finger and an elemental ring but once you down a few foes you will gain access to your first character. These characters have a well designed look and unique voice lines that are decidely unheroic but fit in to the aesthetic of the game. When you first fire the game up your cast of characters is limited but by completing a levels and completing a challenge or three you’ll round out to a regular rogues gallery of people. The characters each have a little backstory. Hilt for example is a blacksmith apprentice who breaks everything he touches and my personal favorite Kind Lenny is a former shop owner who got tired of fleecing customers and decided to take his apple gun, Pip, out into the world to cause some mayhem. The characters themselves are divided into 3 categories. Attack, Support, and Defender and beyond that each has a skill tree that can go one of two directions depending on how you spend their skill points. Every time you Prestige you should check out the Timed Challenges. Sometimes they will simply be impossible until further progress is made (all permanent progress affects both modes; Timed and Adventure), but when you can you can unlock some important goodies by beating a challenge. After collecting most of the heroes you’ll want to fill everyone’s Item slots; any time you can you should open the Free chests (every 4 hours). After a few days’ worth of chests you should have all 3 item slots filled for a few of your heroes, making them ready to Evolve. I try to Evolve my heroes roughly together, but better heroes like Vexx take priority.
Ads aren’t critical to watch, but Gems are generally worth the effort. Tokens you’ll often get more than enough of later on, and Scrap is limited and very needed, so I’ll usually watch the “dragon” ads for scraps as well. By Stage 306 you should have a large-ish supply of Gems from Achievements and Quests, I find these best to spend on Epic Chests. By getting Epic items you can drastically cut down on the amount of Scraps required to Evolve and improve heroes items. Trinkets can be bought with Aeon, and I don’t find them (initially) as useful as Items, so I would avoid spending Gems on those at first. You get a few free Trinkets from Stage progression anyway. The game’s progression works similar to many other idle games where after dealing with a number of weaker enemies you’re faced with a giant boss every now and then. As far as saving progression goes you can save your progress online and coming back to the game after deleting it means you can still start off from where you left off. The game’s sound effects are well done, challenges can be unlocked if you’re getting bored of the default adventure mode but remember to spend your earned gems wisely as they’re needed to unlock new artifact slots as well as other goodies. The game can be played fine in offline mode.Train them to learn battle skills, magical powers and which end of a sword is the business end. The graphics are beautiful and flow fluidly but some older devices might have problems running the game as smoothly. We started to do concepts for the characters. We are at the process of defining each of them's abilities, so they are most probably going to change a lot.The idea is to make them look like wannabes and not actual heroes. There is a character progression system we're experimenting. So we started the concept for each character's progression as well. This is Kind Lenny. He is extremely powerful. But you know he is just too soft to be a hero. As a child, Thoria became very fed up with how all the boys and her family treated her, and how she was expected to behave as a little girl. All the other girls were obsessed with being pretty and wearing pretty shoes, and being nice little wives, going to cookery school and such. In an act of defiance, she cuts her hair short, vowing to never again wear shoes, and runs away from home to enrol in the Guardian Martial Academy as a boy.The other recruits are impressed at her bare-footedness, thinking that this new recruit is a very tough specimen indeed. She excels at all disciplines and is about to graduate when a jealous student announces her true gender. Expelled and ridiculed, but now with a fearsome set of warrior skills, Thoria embarks on a career as a solo soldier of fortune, fighting injustice, kingdom wide.
